Why video?

I have always been a creative person and consider myself lucky to have discovered the power of communicating through video. Video brings to life the emotions and messages I want to communicate to an audience.

I'm often asked what defines the ''success'' of a video for me and Kallima Media. Of course, high numbers of views are great to have, but for me the real success is measured when the video reaches its goal - to increase sales for a product or service, to bring attention to a music act and increase album sales, to effectively communicate a corporate message or a client being offered a job after using one of our video resumes.

Video has very measurable success factors, but for me there is also a more intrinsic reward - the emotion the viewer takes away from the video. Do they feel energized? Do they find themselves wanting to take action - purchase a product/service?

The Kallima Philosophy

''Kallima'' is a type of butterfly. As a butterfly is a symbol of transformation, the use of video has a way to transform a message or brand. It also means ''beautiful'' in Greek.

Kallima Media is set up in such a way to be collaborative with the client every step of the way. From the initial intake conversation to the final product, myself and my team tailor each video to the needs of the customer.

Having several years international marketing experience, both in the corporate world as well as in the music industry, this helps me greatly in communicating with clients as to the look, feel, image and branding of their videos.

The Future

Although I consider myself an experienced videographer and editor, I am always looking for a new skill set to learn as well new products to add to Kallima Media's offerings.
